During the tour they set the record for highest attendance for a concert, 56,800, at the Tampa Stadium in Tampa, Florida. A record previously held by The Beatles. Performances for the movie The Song Remains the Same are also filmed.

  • 31st (New Year's Eve) Brothers Malcolm and Angus Young perform at the former Sydney nightclub 'Chequers' for their New Year's Eve party. They do so under the name 'AC/DC'
