– High speed railway service between Johannesburg and Pretoria, South Africa, is expected to open.
– High speed railway service between Zhengzhou and Xi'an, China, is expected to open.5
– The Kowloon Southern Link, an extension of the KCRC West Rail Line in Hong Kong is expected to be completed and opened.6
– Sound Transit Central Link light rail line in Seattle, Washington is scheduled to open.
– Indian Railways expects to complete construction on the world's highest railway bridge crossing the Chenab River in Jammu and Kashmir.7

– Singapore Circle MRT Line Stage 3 will be ready for service using the 3 car Alstom Train.
– The 306-kilometre (190 mi) long high speed railway between Ankara and Konya is expected to open.
– Construction is expected to begin in the Republic of the Congo on about 1,000 kilometers (621 mi) of new railway lines connecting Brazzaville to Ouésso and Djambala to Pointe-Noire.8
– Max green line light rail line in Portland, Oregon, is scheduled to open, transporting riders from Portland State University to the Clackamas Transit mall.
– Hanshin Namba Line, Amagasaki-Namba route open, with Hanshin Sannomiya-Kintetsu Nara direct commuter express train will start.
