– Indian Railways expects to complete construction on the world's highest railway bridge crossing the Chenab River in Jammu and Kashmir.7

– The 306-kilometre (190 mi) long high speed railway between Ankara and Konya is expected to open.
– Construction is expected to begin in the Republic of the Congo on about 1,000 kilometers (621 mi) of new railway lines connecting Brazzaville to Ouésso and Djambala to Pointe-Noire.8- – Max green line light rail line in Portland, Oregon, is scheduled to open, transporting riders from Portland State University to the Clackamas Transit mall.
