The Nur Mountains (Turkish: Nur Dağları, or the "Mountains of Holy Light"; also the Amanus or Gâvur Mountains) is a mountain range in the Hatay Province of south-central Turkey which runs roughly parallel to the Gulf of İskenderun. The range reaches a maximum a height of 2240 m and divides the coastal region of Cilicia from inland Syria. The highest peak is Bozdağ. A major pass through the mountains known as the Syrian Gates is located of the town of Belen.
