Andy Akinwolere (born 30 November 1983 in Nigeria) is an English television presenter.
Career
Akinwolere was born on 30 November 1983, and moved to Birmingham, England when he was eight years of age.
Andy began hosting the BBC television programme Blue Peter on 28 June 2006
He had studied Media Studies at Sheffield Hallam University between 2001 and 2004 before getting a job as a runner for the BBC. He was asked to audition by one of the Blue Peter directors he met whilst eating out with work colleagues; he had previously intended to go into documentary-making. His first challenge, as a presenter, was to complete a 150 metre abseil. He has presented the show with Konnie Huq, Zöe Salmon, Gethin Jones, Helen Skelton and Joel Defries.

Personal life
Akinwolere has four siblings - 3 brothers and 1 sister and speaks Yoruba, as well as English.
