Edinburgh Crossrail is a suburban rail service through Edinburgh, Scotland, from Newcraighall in the east to Bathgate and Stirling/Dunblane in the west.
Edinburgh Crossrail opened in 2002. On the northern stub of the former Waverley Route from Carlisle, the line has new stations at Brunstane and Newcraighall. All trains travel via Edinburgh Waverley and Haymarket and call at another new station, Edinburgh Park, at the western edge of the city.
Passenger services are operated by First ScotRail. The line is electrified from Edinburgh Waverley to Newcraighall, but all services are provided by diesel trains.
