Livingston South railway station is one of two railway stations serving Livingston in West Lothian, Scotland. It is located on the Shotts Line 23 km (14 miles) west of Edinburgh Waverley on the way to Glasgow Central. The station has two platforms, connected by a subway, and CCTV. It is managed by First ScotRail.
There is also another railway station at Livingston North on the Edinburgh-Bathgate line.
Service
It is currently served, Monday to Saturday, by one First ScotRail service each hour from Glasgow Central to Edinburgh Waverley. One train a day from Edinburgh terminates at Motherwell. There is a limited Sunday service at this station to Edinburgh and West Calder.
The staple passenger traction on this line is the Class 156 "Super Sprinter", although the occasional Class 220 "Voyager" unit can be on non-stopping Virgin Cross-Country services.
