Love Truly (aka I Really, Really Like You) is a 34-episode South Korean television drama broadcast by MBC in 2006. Variations of drama name:
SynopsisThere's no ‘nobody.’ Everybody is once an important person to somebody. The Life Story of Beautiful-minded People; ‘The true meaning and hope of life can be learned from ordinary people.’ What makes Love Truly different from other stories is its characters; those who work in the Blue House (Korean presidential residence). This drama introduces the viewers the place considered mysterious and tabooed in TV dramas. It also features the people working inside the most unknown place in the country. Even though the presidential residence is the main setting of the story, the main characters of the story aren’t the presidential family. The story focuses on the true residents of the Blue House; those who have always been in the very center of the history, but remained nameless for many years. In this story, the viewers will meet the presidential cook, kitchen staff, a carpenter, a photographer, bodyguards and other workers. These people are working in the most unusual and interesting place in Korea. Nobody recognizes their hard work, but they strongly believe that the food they cook, the door they fix, and a phone call they answer can make a difference. They take their work very seriously and always do their best. The story features the simple, but noble spirit of those who love their job and work hard. Therefore, the Blue House in this story represents the workplace of the hardest working people in the country, rather than the secret and off-limits presidential residence. PlotThe show's uplifting and hopeful message 'Love is strength and hope' derives from the beautiful lives of ordinary people. Love Truly tells the story of Yeo Bong-soon (Eugene), a woman who grew up in the province but was given a chance to be an important part of the President's staff. At first, she seems out of touch with the real world and people find her naïve. However, her sweetness, thoughtfulness, and diligence made it easier for the people around her to like her and eventually accept her for who she is. Meanwhile, Nam Bong-ki (Lee Min-ki), the seemingly lazy and self-centered bodyguard of the President's son, falls for the innocent Bong-soon. Bong-ki is shallow and arrogant, but being near Bong-soon changed his perspective: that is, he began looking in her direction for true love. The story turns into a love triangle when the handsome and intelligent Jang Joon-won enters the picture. Jang Joon-won (Ryu Jin) is the President's son but he is not well-known to the public, which allows him to keep his privacy. He is a well-loved doctor but he carries a secret that is known only to a select few. His chance encounters with Bong-soon pose a difficulty for her, yet he also becomes enamored by her. How long can Joon-won keep his feelings in check, especially since his secret prevents him from falling in love with her? Is this real information? Cast/CharactersMain cast

Production NoteThe producers of 'Love Truly' realize that prime time weekend dramas lack variety in themes and storylines, while other types of TV shows are constantly looking for new ideas and changes. In order to retain or attract viewers, prime time dramas need to broaden their scope and come up with more creative topics. Most prime time dramas have focused on family values. 'Love Truly' is more about people than families. It is about a group of people who each have their own ideas and ways of life. Unlike most prime time dramas that tend to be serious and depressing, this new drama series will provide both romance and comedy. Viewers will be able to enjoy watching a totally new type of TV drama. Who lives in the Blue House? The show is set in the Blue House, however the main characters are not the president himself, or his family members.
