PAS 55 - Asset management is a Publicly Available Specification published by the British Standards Institution.

This PAS gives guidance and best practice on asset management, typically this is relevant to utilities and transport organisations. The standard is split into two parts:

  • Part 1 - Specification for the optimised management of physical infrastructure assets
  • Part 2 - Guidelines for the application of PAS 55-1

The standard was produced in 2003 by a number of organisations under the leadership of the Institute of Asset Management. The standard is currently undergoing a revision 1 and is due for reissue in late 2008.
