The parent of this WikiProject is WikiProject Cities / WikiProject U.S. cities. At the US state level, the parent of this project is WikiProject Texas.

Goals

To provide guidelines and recommendations for articles that describe all aspects of the city of Austin and the surrounding metropolitan area.
To improve Wikipedia's coverage of Austin by creating, expanding, and maintaining such articles and related portal.
To serve as the central point of discussion for issues related to Austin in Wikipedia.
Establish Wikipedia as one of the premier online information resources on the Greater Austin metropolitan area.
